This is one of the worst I have encountered. A great example of why you should clean your dryer vent on a regular basis.

After the Almetal ® Dyer Vent is installed, the dryer exhaust will back into the receiver. Once a year , just pull your dryer out and insert an electric leaf blower into receiver and blow it out for a couple of minutes. You will keep your dryer running safely and more efficient.

This is a wonderful example of why flex hose should never be used. Notice how it swags. Each loop is full of water and wet lint.

This is an end vent cut down to be very short. I used the existing hole in the floor. You will notice, most all applications have some wood blocking behind the vent. The vent must be secured tightly.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for your fine work installing my new dryer vent.
As you promised, it now only takes 45 minutes to dry a full load of cotton towels. And my average loads now dry in significantly less time than that.
The vent onto my patio is working quite well. The fixture covering the opening remains closed unless the dryer is on. So, happily, no birds will be nesting in there.

After 4” aluminum duct is installed. Aluminum duct works even better than galvanized metal. The walls are smoother and it is weighs less too. Lint will not stick to aluminum as easily as it will to galvanized metal.

Would you believe that this owner to the left walked by this every day? I don’t recommend these dampers because you cannot see them. A lot of hooded dampers only project 2” like this one pictured. Your venting through a 4” duct, they create resistance to air flow.

I’m writing this letter to express my gratitude for your wonderful product. The Almetal Dryer Vent.
I moved to South Carolina in April 1998 and purchased appliances from a major department store chain. In June 1998 the washing machine malfunctioned causing water damage. The stores repair man arrived in about 2 days to fix the washing machine. The repair man noticed my dryer was vented improperly and voided my warranty.
On Saturday I heard The Almetal Dryer Vent advertised on the radio. I called the number and ordered the installation of the Dryer Vent. My warranty was reinstated on my dryer, now it was vented properly.
I have been completely satisfied with my Almetal Dryer Vent. My drying times have not increased in the 5 years I have had the vent installed. My sister recently came to visit me for 3 weeks and she noticed my drying times were much quicker than hers at home (we have the same washer and dryer). She even mentioned she had to run her dryer twice, while my dryer dried her clothes before the allotted time.
In July you cleaned my metal vent by blowing out the accumulated lint. I stood outside by the exit of the vent; hardly any lint was blown out. I expected a much larger amount of lint. The small amount of accumulated lint proved to me; I certainly made the right purchase.
